Leftover Chinese Would Rather Not Meta Post
but I will anyway. I'm putting together a plan to jumpstart this web log. Just you wait. If it's one thing I remember about my old friend Nick Vili1, it's that he kind of enjoyed Garfield comics and was partial the hard rock stylings of Van Halen...kinda like me. Thank you, Internet.

Finally getting around to throwing away papers and stuff collecting in a bedroom at my parent's house between the years 1990 and 2000. It's a 90's flashback! Some highlights:
- "your selection of the month is...[PEARL JAM - VS]...it will be sent to you unless you return this card postmakred by March 7, 1994" - The Carmen Sandiego Scrapbook of suspects. - Back to the Future II - The Novel - 3/5th of the original Voltron (red one missing its head) - "The Duct Tape Avenger": a slide show I produced for photography class. - 6 Kroner - Try the New AOL 3.0! - "Police are searching for vandals who stole the concrete pagoda roof and a concrete pineapple adornment from an oriental lantern..." (I wouldn't know anything about that) - Adult CPR expired 9/25/95 - A few vintage black and white issues of The Onion. One headline may or may not be "Jews to release Box Set." Those are keepers.
Bonus: 'The Apollo lands on the moon' place mat will be a welcome addition to my home office. Best random hand-me-down ever.

Leftover Chinese Update: Miscellaneous Bits and Gripes
My stop finally reopened after a year. I now barely save time on my commute.
- I should really be addressing the holiday cards. - On Sunday I purchased a 10-pack of Chap Sticks from Costco. So far I've already opened two (2). - I don't mind the snow at all this year. - This afternoon, the mail carrier left a 'sorry we missed you' notice for my neighbor. However, they didn't leave any mail...as if leaving the mail without the package was any different than leaving mail on a normal day. - I switched newspaper delivery services from the Sun-Times to the Tribune. I got sick of the Sun-Time's tabloid journalism and went for the more conservative of the two papers. I held out a long as I could because I like having 2 puzzles to do each day. However, the recent coverage of the local missing pretty white-girl and her cop husband turned me off completely. Guess what? They still print news in newspapers. - I went to the dentist today to get a filling replaced. Attempting to drink hot tea as the feeling comes back to my mouth might be a brilliant or terrible idea. We'll see. - I'd post my top albums of the year but you've either already seen them listed somewhere else on the internet, or you won't have any idea what I'm talking about. I'll save the space. - Last week was the annual work group outing. It turned into a seven hour binge. I don't think I ever pulled that off with my actual friends. - I might actually finish a quest game on my Wii. I haven't finished a game in years. - I read a book! It was okay and I read it fairly fast. Time to get back into the Harry Potter series. - New Years Eve is twelve days away. What happened to 2007?
